I saw this movie in Korea! I thought it was pretty weird, but the tragedy at the end was very sad...
How did you like it?

Oh, I love this movie. The story is pretty different from its original comic version, but it's still good. I'm impressed by the actor (Ken'ichi Matsuyama) who played L---he's the perfect "L" to me.

Thank you for your comment!

I'm enjoying Japanese very much, acutally.

Fukai sensei is really fast, which is how I think I'm learning the language so fast. But it takes effort to keep up, studying everyday and practicing... Any tips on how to improve?

Thank you for your comment! Am I that fast? Umm... the course is actually a bit slower than last year.

I think you're doing well. You just have to keep doing it every day. Studying 30 minutes a day every day is better than 10 hours only for one day right before the exam! Learning a language is like building something brick by brick.

Konnichiwa Fukai Sensei. Who is your favorite hockey team? I would like to join the Columbia Kendo Club. They signed me up because I'm a Nidan, but I've been so busy I haven't been able to make it to any of the practices.

>Switzer-san,

My favorite player is Tony Amonte, although he's not that famous. He used to play for Chicago Blackhawks which is my favorite team (and not that good, either).

Kendo Club did wonderful demonstrations at Japan Society's spring event. I look forward to seeing you as one of the players!

I've never read/seen "Bleach" before, so I googled it. Umm...looks interesting. I'll check it out when I go home this winter!

I have never seen this movie. I actually like the Japanese black & white movies from the 1960's like "Rebellion" and "Harakiri."
My favorite Japanese actor is Tatsuya Nakadai.

He's very old, isn't he? I wonder how you learned about these movies. Maybe through Kendo?
